Lanai

Charming and Relaxed

Hawaii’s Most Enticing Island Lanai is one of the smallest of the Hawaiian islands. There are just over 3,000 residents who live on Lanai giving it a charming and more relaxed feel.

There are two world class resorts on the island – the luxurious Four Seasons Manele Bay which sits on the water and the Lodge at Koele which sits upcountry, just outside the small town of Lanai City, with its wonderful Hawaiian plantation style charm. For a more local experience, the Hotel Lanai is a good choice, located in Lanai City.

On Lanai, you will find a wide range of activities to please just about everyone. The island boasts two challenging golf courses and some of Hawaii’s best snorkeling in the crystal clear waters at Hulopoe Beach.

The Experience at Koele is an 18-hole championship course designed by legends Greg Norman and Ted Robinson. Here each and every hole is graced with awe-inspiring vistas, from mountain ravines to Pacific expanses to the neighboring Maui and Molokai across the channel.

Or, how about a thrilling 4×4 excursion into remote Keahikawelo or along the sands of Kaiolohia Bay to observe the rusting Liberty Ship grounded just offshore. You might want to spend a day exploring tide pools while watching for spinner dolphins and humpbacks at play in the blue green ocean stretched out before you. On the island, there is also a world class skeet shooting course which is an exciting family or group activity.

Lanai lacks the crowds and traffic you can find on the other islands which to many, is the reason they go on vacation – to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Here, you can experience true rest and relaxation as well as thrilling activities if you prefer.

Hawaii’s most enticing island is the perfect island for a luxurious romantic getaway for two, or an enjoyable vacation for the whole family.
